Director Susan and I met Stephanie by way of long distance in July of 2007 when a close friend and associate, Elanthra, suggested she … |
…contact us because of similar spiritual interests and paths. As I recall, it was "Love at first contact!" As Stephanie was exposed to our plans for the creation of Casa de Santa Maria, it became clear our mission spoke to her heart, and she to ours. It soon became evident that Stephanie's lifelong desire to serve people blended so perfectly with the Casa plans -- and our lives have been better for the knowing.
Currently an Administrative Assistant at Pei Cobb Freed and Partners Architects, founded by I.M. Pei – world-renowned architect, located in New York City, Stephanie graduated from the University of Albuquerque with a BA degree in psychology and sociology in 1970.
The daughter of two World War II U.S. Navy veterans, Stephanie was exposed to a variety of U.S. cities and states before her entry into second grade, when her parents decided to settle down in Canon City, Colorado. Shortly after, the Pardue clan grew to include three brothers and two sisters.
Stephanie's serious education began when her mom was unable to perform her motherly duties both physically and emotionally, and the household responsibilities fell to Stephanie and her dad as she reached fifth grade. Eventually mom died much too early in life. No doubt those early experiences led to a life dedicated to the service of others.
Moving to New York City in 1970, Stephanie took on the responsibility of Benefits Coordinator in Human Resources for 1,000 employees at United Hospital in Port Chester, NY in 1980 through 1987. It was then she was elevated to the position of Executive Assistant to the Chief Financial Officer of United Hospital, where she served until 1994.
Traveling with several colleagues between 1993 and 2000, Stephanie presented lectures and gave demonstrations of hands-on healing. Worth mentioning was Stephanie’s focus on community service involving being a Weblo den mother to 25 boys, helping them earn their badges before they entered the Boy Scouts, as well as teaching Sunday school in the Presbyterian Church. (“Quite a different experience for me after being raised Catholic!” shared Stephanie.)
"I'm looking forward to retiring shortly, to direct my life in a way that will allow more time to focus on my own spiritual growth and to be more of service to others. Having studied metaphysics for the past twenty years, I keep hanging in there, working on 'my stuff' and expecting one day to find total peace and love through my connection with spirit."
"And, how about that... I'm on the Casa Board of Directors - how utterly awesome and such an honor! I so love the spiritual work the Casa is attempting to bring about and am honored to be a part of it - to contribute in any way that I can."
Welcome to our Casa Board of Directors Stephanie. As you grow – we grow!!
