Miss You Mom!
What do you do when you've lost your best friend? The one person in your life who has always made you feel loved? The one who cannot be replaced by another? You do it by putting one foot in front of the other every day and going on with your life. You grieve, you move forward, and you grieve again.
Every time you see the lilacs she loved so much, you grieve. Every time you realize new people in the family will never get to know her, you grieve. Every time you can't remember how to make something and go to call her, you grieve.
Yes, there will come times when her loss will be more poignant than others, but the loss of a mother is one of the hardest things we ever have to do. So, I grieve, and I move on, living my life to the best of my ability in honor of mother and the godly heritage she passed on to me. I honor her memory with my life and my words. I tell my grand kids about her.
And so, my mother lives on forever in my heart until that day we meet again.
We're oh so happy that life is eternal, which means moms are eternal. It also means if you weren't a mom this time around, you likely have been in a past incarnation, or will be in a future one.
An ounce of mother is worth a pound of clergy. - Spanish Proverb
