BREAKING NEWS
Mother Mary's Garden Underway!

Even though we're still experiencing snow storms and freezing temperatures — our long wait is over. (Can you hear the Hallelujah Chorus in the background?)

The Red Letter Day was Wednesday, April 11, 2007. At 10:30 a.m. we received a call from our gifted (and dedicated) construction man, James Gallegos. "Can you meet me at the Casa property in 20 minutes? I think we can make it happen today!"

Music to our ears. The ground had just dried from recent snows, and the forecast was for blizzard warnings that night. James was right on time. While snapping pictures, as James cleared the first swath of land, we instinctively checked the time.

It was no surprise to see 11:11... You may have heard, in terms of spiritual power numbers, when you frequently see the numbers 111 or 1111, the message from spirit is, You Are In Divine Flow! And here it was, 11:11 a.m. — on the 11th.

A great deal of work has gone into developing the Casa de Santa Maria to this point, but there's nothing quite like seeing some physical changes being accomplished. It just makes things seem more real. Know what I mean?

As James completed the land clearing late that afternoon, the pre-blizzard snowflakes began to fall. Divine timing? I'd say so!

Last night, the ground that soon will contain Mother Mary's Garden, was blanketed in seven inches of much needed snow, with more on the way. This is high desert country at 8,000', and when the rain or snow falls, thanks is given by all.

Heartfelt thanks to those who contributed the money and prayers to get us this far. Now the hard (and expensive) work begins. Mother Mary's Garden will be the gem of the Casa de Santa Maria. It will be that non-denominational spiritual oasis to which we frequently refer.

A place of beauty, free to all, where folks from across this land will find peace and calm while connecting with the Divine. Whether strolling or sitting in contemplation, visitors will be surrounded by the healing energy of the Divine Mother and her helpers. Jesus has promised that — and we believe in that promise.

As weather permits, Susan and I will begin to layout, on the ground, (as opposed to what we now have on paper) the design of Mary's Garden. The meditation pond, healing grotto, medicine wheel, mini-Stonehenge, and two labyrinths.

We'll begin to mark off placement spots for trees and bushes, and pathways. (Much more about those trees next week!) Also much more about how you can help in this effort.

Next major project will be drilling the Casa well, bringing that life giving water to this amazing place of healing. Estimated cost, $10,000 — depending upon how deep we need to go.

Almost simultaneously will be bringing electricity some 500-650' back to the well and future buildings at an estimated cost of $8,000. (We're also researching solar power for the well.)

During a call from a friend last night, she asked, "Are you two crazy? How can you do this by yourselves? And why?" Well, the answer to question number one is, Yes! To the second, although it seems lonely and overwhelming at times out here — we gain strength from the prayers and support of our friends and the friends of the Casa.

As to Why? While in Brazil in May of 2005, we were asked by Jesus to help build the Casa de Santa Maria, "For My Mother!" How could we refuse? I can't even imagine that being an option.

Totem Progress

Guugwaangs, (Lee Wallace) Master totem carver, of the Haida Tribe, Ketchikan, Alaska, is shown hard at work at the half-way mark of our totem sculpture of Mother Mary.

We're hoping the statue will be completed and ready for raising on the Casa property in early summer.

And That's Just the Beginning!

It may take two years, perhaps ten, to make the Casa de Santa Maria a completed reality. Susan and I are in it for the long haul. We've already decided if it takes us moving one rock at a time or planting one tree or bush at a time (Which is what we've been doing) — that's fine with us.

We have a sense though that Spirit will speak to hearts to join in this effort. It all depends on how Spirit wants it to happen. I feel the power will come with a grass roots effort of many folks contributing what they can, when they can.

You can also help in other ways. To date we have 400 folks subscribing to the Casa Newsletter's and Casa-Grams. Not a lot, but a good start. If you would take the time to send all your friends and associates the Casa website, suggesting they check it out, that would be a major step in getting more folks interested/involved.

Will you do that? That one act would be so powerful, and so much appreciated.

To our current faithful contributors, words cannot express how meaningful your support has been. Our prayer is that you will be blest ten-fold. You have supplied us with enough funds to pay for the land clearing now underway, the totem carving statue of Mother Mary, and part of the funds for the well.

What a great start. Now we prayerfully ask everyone to step up and help, no matter the amount you can spare. (Funny, I hear music in the background, kind of like we're doing a telethon:-) If I could get on TV I would show you the blisters on my hands, or we could talk about the protective glasses Susan needs to buy because of the frequent severe winds blowing the dirt on the property.

But alas, we don't need those sympathy ploys. We expect that your intuitive desire to be a part of something so powerful and healing for the individual as well as the masses, that will lead to your involvement in creating the Casa de Santa Maria.

You are all so loved and appreciated.
